Description
Retromarcia is a Chianti Classico made by 100% Sangiovese grapes. The grapes come from vineyards consisting of 70% Galestro, 20% Arenaria-Calcare-Pietraforte and 10% Alberese. Vinification and maturation are reminiscent of a traditional style of Chianti Classico; the result is a fresh, fruity, medium-bodied, well-balanced wine with good structure, juicy acidity and a long finish.
The name Retromarcia (reverse gear) was chosen to recall the desire to produce a wine that reflects the traditions of Chianti Classico and to express the character of Panzano by returning to the elegance and natural charm of Sangiovese.
